I'm Falling For You

Sipping cold juice, on the grass.
Oblivious of everybody, the world spins so fast.

Look into your eyes and I see your love,
Shining and sparkling, stay with me.

Run your hands on my back, you know my weak spots,
My fascination, since day one you have caught.

Smooth your hair with my hands and now I'm gone,
You put me up on cloud nine and I need you now.
You have got me falling for you, fast and how!

Catch me baby, catch me, hold me tight.
Make me smile, make me laugh, we 'll set it right.

The people are looking, but I don't care,
I see you looking at me, I can't break my stare.
My heart skips a beat and gives me a scare!

Catch me baby, catch me, take me close.
How long will this last, oh no one knows.

But right now you are my star and that's all I know.
So take me dancing, proper and slow.
Make me fall harder, make me fall in love.
Your hand fits mine, perfectly like a glove.

So catch me baby, catch me, coz I'm  falling for you!

Have a beautiful week ahead people. :] x

Music Monday #4 - RED !

"Red might be about flirting with danger" a music critic wrote.

[Complete song list, lyrics, comments and links]

This is the 4th studio album released by one of my favorite artists, Taylor Swift, today, on the 22nd.

Story behind the name, in Taylor's words :
"All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I've experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red. You know, there’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings."

*********

1. State Of Grace

"So you were never a saint.I love the shades of wrong. We learn to live with the pain.Mostly of broken hearts. But this love is great and wild."

It is definitely not the very country-y music that has been associated with Taylor Swift. It is powerful and the guitar and her voice do not disappoint. This IS a state of grace!

I personally really liked the song. It is powerful, it makes you want to do things, the lyrics stand out.. What a way to start off the album!

2. Red

"Losing him was blue like I’d never knownMissing him was dark grey all aloneForgetting him was like trying to know somebody you've never metBut loving him was redOh red burning red"
Red received mixed reviews from critics. While some liked it, some said it was just another song by America's favorite cougar (gags).
The song is a little repetitive. It was stuck in my head for days after I heard it, but it lacks the usual lyrical punch from Taylor. Addictive and good all the same though.
3. Treacherous
"Put your lips close to mine
As long as they don't touch
Out of focus out of eye
Till the gravity is too much
And ill do anything you say
If you say it with your hands
And i'd be smart to walk away but you're quick sand"

The music reminded me of 'You Belong With Me' a little.
I like the lyrics. It's pretty, it's cute. It's slow and I like it!

4. I Knew You Were Trouble
"I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now.Flew me to places I've never been,Till you put me down oh .."
I really like the lyrics to this song. I love the way she puts the whole feeling into such beautiful words. LOVE IT!
About the song, Taylor said : "being frustrated with yourself because here you are heartbroken and you knew when you first saw that person, you saw all these red flags and you just went for it anyway, so shame on me."
5. All Too Well
"The autumn leaves falling down,Like pieces in their place. And I can picture it after all these days. And I know it's long gone, and the magic's here no more,And it might be okay,But I'm not fine at all!"
The country girl shines through this song. The guitar, the way she's singing, the lyrics. Sometimes remembering things all too well is why we are sad. And broken!
6. 22
"It seems like one of those nights

This place is too crowded too many cool kids
It seems like one of those nights
We ditch the whole scene and end up dreaming instead of sleeping
Yeaaaah
We're happy free confused and lonely in the best way
It's miserable and magical oh yeah
Tonight's the night when we forget about the heartbreaks, it's time uh uh"

It has this pop-y rhythm and feel to it. I especially like the hispters line! :D
7. I Almost Do
"And I just want to tell you
It takes everything in me not to call you
And I wish I could run to you
And I hope you know that
Everytime I don't,
I almost do, I almost do"

We all have that one person we always want to message/call but should not. And sometimes you just don't want to be the one who's always taking the first step, and you sit up all night wondering if they think about you.. Maybe they do, maybe they don't ...
8. WANEGBT
This is that song you can dance to, or sing along with your friends.
It has been co written, maybe that's why the lyrics are so repetitive and this is probably not one of her most genius-y or lyrically exceptional songs.
But it is addictive and I like the rhythm and the tune! I also find the video very cute.
And the fact that she is finally saying NO.
9. Stay Stay Stay
"I think that it's best if we both stay"
It's so honest. About how he's the guy helping her carry the groceries, making her laugh, unlike the previous ones who used to remove her problems out on her.
About how she's loving him because he loves her even when she's mad. Because he never left.

10. The Last Time (Taylor ft Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol)
"This is the last time I'm asking you this,Put my name on the top of your list .. "
The lyrics are brilliant. Although this was a very shoddy/blurry basically crap version of the song, I still like it a lot. And I'm looking forward to listening to the original file. It's sad, it's beautiful! From 3:25-3:30 , I LOVE THAT!
11. Holy Ground
"Spinning like a girl in a brand new dress,
We had this big wide city all to ourselves.
We blocked the noise with the sound of 'I need you',
And for the first time I had something to lose,
Well I guess we fell apart in the usual way.
And the story's got dust on every page,
Sometimes I wonder how you think about it now.
And I see your face in every crowd."

I like the chorus. I like the way she sings these words. I like the words. I love the feeling.
"I don't want to dance if I'm not dancing with you" </3

12. Sad Beautiful Tragic
"Long handwritten note, deep in your pocket
Words, how little they mean, when they're a little too late"

THIS SONG IS THE SHIZZ!I love the lyrics. Like legit love. I love her haunting sad voice. I hate the way she sounds sad, but I love because only she sounds that beautiful while singing such a breaking song. The title puts it perfectly!
13. The Lucky One
"They say you bought a bunch of land somewhere,
Chose the Rose Garden over Madison Square,
And it took some time, but I understand it now."

This song gives me goosebumps. When you read the lyrics, and you realize what is gossip to us, is their lives. How lucky, fame and being a celebrity is not all that's it cracked up to be.

I love this song, it's honest, inspiring, brilliantly written and sung. WOW.

"And all my walls stood tall painted blue
But i'll take them down, take them down and open up the door for you"

I am having a mega fangirling attack now *breathes in and out*
Okayy, so their voices separately are beautiful and glorious.
Together, they sound wonderful!

"All I know is we said hello
So dust off your highest hopes
All I know is pouring rain
And everything has changed
All I know is a newfound brightness
All my days, i'll know your face
All I know since yesterday is everything has changed"

"The whole place, was dressed to the nines,
And we were dancing, dancing,
Like we're made of starlight, starlight"

*It's about Bobby and Ethel Kennedy, Connor's grandparents. She even says "I met Bobby on the boardwalk, summer of '45." Unless Connor and Taylor are actually 67 years old, it's not about either of them. And the line "have ten kids and teach them how to dream" ... they had 11 kids. *

It's beautiful. And peppy. And flipping adorable!

16. Begin Again

"I've been spending the last 8 months thinking all love ever does,
is break and burn, and end.
But on a Wednesday, in a cafe, I watched it begin again!"

This song is brilliantly written and sung, and the feels! I love the words, I love how she sings 'break, and burn, and end' and this reminds me of Mine.
Of how sometimes when you give up, something makes you hold on, even after you're convinced that it's all done and you don't want to bother with it anymore.

Thank you Taylor, for creating this song. Such a gorgeous way to end this album, on a positive note!

My favorites are song no 1, 4, 12 and 16.
I like ALL of the songs on here, but I love these 4.

Thank you Taylor, for making music that inspires me.
You somehow always express feelings better than anyone I've heard or read.
You're freaking amazing and you've made me fall in love with RED.

Listen to these tracks, and watch it begin again ;)

xx

She Didn't Deserve It,No One Does .. But If We Don't Learn From Her Death, Everything Goes Back The Way It Was(is).

Two words : Amanda Todd.

Am I going to crack jokes about her being weak? No.
Write about how what she did was stupid, she asked for it? No.
That I support suicide? No.

All I'm saying is, one girl killed herself. We all felt bad. But if we are doing what people did to her, to people in our real lives, shame on us!

The first time I logged onto Orkut, my parents didn't know. Having gotten a lot of beware-of-the-stranger-online lectures, I thought of not telling them.
When I read Amanda's story, that's the first thing that went in my head. If only she hadn't flashed that stranger online.
If only she hadn't flashed
If only that man wasn't a sick pedophile bastard
If only ..

FLASHED. BLACKMAILED. STALKED. BULLIED. HIT. HUMILIATED. DEPRESSED. OVERDOSED. BULLIED. ATTACKED ONLINE, HATED ON, DEPRESSED. COMMITTED SUICIDE. DEAD.

She shouldn't have flashed, yes. But is all the hate justified? A BIG FAT NO.

But feeling bad for her is pointless unless you're willing to learn from her death.

  • Befriend people, even the ones most kids call weird, or a bookworm.
  • Don't bully people. And if you know/see someone being bullied, stand up for them.
  • Sometimes people over the internet aren't really what you think of them to be. Increase your privacy levels and settings.

Technically, it's your chest. Your choice. But the truth is, sad truth, that there a lot of sick, perverted, pedophiles hanging around waiting for someone like you, me, us.

It's your body. Your images. Don't waste it on the internet. Don't trust blindly.

Don't write sad statuses about Amanda. Be nice to people in her memory. Touch peoples' lives. Write, sing, paint, act. Seek out others when you're in need. Climb out of dark hole of depression. Ask for help. Offer help. Stop bullying. Stop teasing/verbal abuse of other people.

All I'm saying is, Amanda was one teen, there are so many all over the world, who go through the same thing  everyday. Some grow out of it, some succumb to the pressure and don't survive it .. For her, for them, for yourself, for everything, just be nicer. More gentle. Less harsh. Less criticizing.

Rest In Peace Amanda Todd.

Stay safe. Much love x

A Little Less Of Cynicism Never Hurt Anyone!

Rest in Peace Yash Chopra.

What has this post got to do with that? Well, a lot! If you're active on Twitter, you might have noticed the dozens of jokes and RIP tweets floating around tonight.
But there's a 3rd category as well (oh yes!). These are the people who think no one is genuinely sad. Or cares. Or hurt. Or anything at all. Because, of course, they're so smart, they know better.

There's a BIG difference between being a realist and not having rosy ideas about life, and being cynical and then there are people who just want to spew crap around, but that's for a different day!

Basically, cynicism doesn't really help anyone. The dreamers will dream. The weepers will weep.

Why do we all have this need of shoving down our ideas and view points down peoples' throats?
Why do we feel the need to let everyone know how our future is bleak and tell the innocent that dreams are only seen by the ones who are weak?

This could be (or is) just my way of thinking, because I'm not someone who believes there's no hope. Or believes we can change the world. I've got my feet in two places and no, that's not me being diplomatic! :P
I believe there IS hope, we CAN do things, but I don't see anything having in the foreseeable future if we all do continue this way.
Because, the odds are definitely not in our favor at the moment ..

So the next time you see some tweet/status/anything, don't crush their hopes. Don't think it's your 'responsibility' to inform them about 'reality'. It isn't.
And more over, try and introspect (yeeah,I can haz big words on my blog too!) why you think the way you do.

And I know I'm all 17 and shizz, and 'I ain't seen nothing in life yet' but there are TONS, like literally so many people who've lost loved ones in wars/accidents/terrorism acts, and still believe in the good in people. Believe in betterment of people. Believe in change. Believe in belief.

Thanks to Blogadda's WOW program thing, I finally wrote something along these lines!
